Hello!!

Well, to kick things off for today, Im gonna post this Superman pic. It was actually just a sketch to start with from my sketch book which I did not really like very much. One day I really wanted to practice some colouring techniques so I scanned it in, and as it took shape I began to like it and ended up going all the way with it.

His muscle structures are very blocky and cut to give him a statue chizzled sort of look. Well, it was an interesting experiment anyway, and I had fun with it, even tho it may not be the greatest superman pic. One of these days I may do a "real" one.

The best thing about taking an old iconic image like that of the good old Man of Steel himself is that even though it’s been done by literally thousands at this point, it is always open to a new artist unique take on it. And Red-J has done just that in this wonderfully chiseled piece of work! (Featured by lolly)

I think you've done a fantastic job of creating Superman in your own unique way. I love the "chiseled" look as well as your unique take on perspective. Fantastic work on the colour and shading as well. Excellent. :thumbsup:
