Hey guys!!
In trying to keep things regular around here, I thought I would post this piece I did not so long ago. It was really just a quick piece I did one night for my friend Edu. He requested me to draw a Hellboy for him since we were gonna meet up, and so it was a good excuse to draw the character. Edu liked the piece enough to actually ink it! It's quite amazing to see how he did this, and how he added his flavour to the overall piece. You can check out Edu's inks here, but you can actually see many photos from the work in progress of the inks in his gallery right here: [link] I have seen a few coloured versions popping up around the net, which is cool. I have been working on a coloured version myself which is more 'painted' over the pencils, and I also plan on doing a coloured version over Edu's inks eventually. Should be an interesting difference between both finished pieces....you can expect those before 2036!! haha. There is a WIP of the colours on the right. And finally, the Hellboy head sketch shot on the bottom right is something I have been playing around with lately. I have been doing everything traditionally from pencils to inks to colours, and it looks really cool on the actual page. More on that later, but I thought I would show the Hellboy head since its relevant here! Pencils & Colours: Me Inks: Thanks for looking! Jon. Hellboy is (C)2006 Mike Mignola & Darkhorse Comics |

The first mistake of art is to assume that it's serious.
I'm not sure I really like the two-toed feet, but I haven't really looked at the comics that much, so if they're really like that, I apologize! lol

You always hear that people want to see something different. Then you give them something different. And they don't know how to deal with it.

...and what to say about the headshot? As it is in real-life, it's a KILLER (...got it? Head-shot...Killer...?...sorry...just got up...still a bit tired and stuff..
Anyway, great work as alwaysand just inspiring to get me immediately at the drawing table and NOT draw the stuff I SHOULD be drawing right now...THANKS for messing up my life, man!!
