Bit of a 'behind the scenes' kinda thing for you guys today. I posted up the finished version of this page yesterday, and so i thought it might be cool to post up the pencils for those interested in a little of my process for comparison.
As you can see, I do like to keep things pretty rough and loose in the pencils, but all the necessary info is pretty much there. This is my favourite stage when I am in the zone. It feels really good. Just me, my pencil and those art boards. They try to look all tough and intimidating while sitting there all white and clean, but every now and then you get to bitch-slap them. I remember feeling pretty happy with myself once this spread was finished. I think it was the last thing I drew for issue 3, so maybe that's why...
